Resident Evil it's a series that, more than anything, loves to challenge tradition and start over every moment. This has led to a serious lack of closure for its legacy characters, much less a lack of cohesion in the narrative, but it has also allowed the franchise to refuse to become stale and risk reaching a premature expiration date. Having said that, Resident Evil seems to be on his biggest attempt at a dedicated line in a while lately via Resident Evil 7 AND Village of resident evil with Resident Evil 9 should follow that guideline. Therefore, why Village supposedly concluded the Winters family saga with the Rosemary's Shadows of Rose DLC, it is logical to assume that Resident Evil 9 would star Chris Redfield in Europe, despite what a handful of leaks have suggested recently.
Independently, Resident Evil's antagonists have always been as iconic as its protagonists and Resident Evil 7 AND Village for once, he even tips the scales in favor of the bad guys. This isn't to say that Ethan is a horrible protagonist, especially after such a compelling twist involving him Villageyet both games in Winters' saga feature some of the franchise's most fascinating and disturbing antagonists. There seems to be a new trend forming where players encounter extremely large groups of main villains, and if… Resident Evil 9 perpetuates it, the ninth entry should be filled with lovable and detestable antagonists galore.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 represents a major revitalization for the franchise, and Resident Evil fans may want to dive into Zombies mode.
The Baker family from Resident Evil 7 is an unforgettable horror trio
The best character in Resident Evil 7 it is probably the same Baker estate. However, it might have felt empty and unintimidating if the family that owned it hadn't been as lively and scary as them. The Bakers – Jack, Marguerite and Lucas – are all victims of the Mold and take on the sadistic and sinister characteristics of The Texas Chainsaw MassacreSawyers in a decrepit house encrusted with rot.
Jack is a persistent threat who constantly regenerates; Marguerite transforms into a terrifying insectoid; and Lucas, whose antics lean more towards Saw OR Hostel in their graphic and meandering nature, he is essentially an irritating maniac. Evelyn is technically the real villain Resident Evil 7but it is these three that perfume and support the entire seventh main chapter. If Resident Evil 9 is more horror oriented than Villagetaking as many notes as possible from Resident Evil 7 that would be a huge plus.
Resident Evil Village's Entourage of Villains is as bizarre as it is thrilling
While Resident Evil 7the bad guys are rooted in the Baker estate (regardless of how vast and terrifying that Louisiana land is), Village of resident evil giving each of its main antagonists their own distinct regions is a boon to the level design and overall fantastic immersion. Each landscape is the signature of the respective antagonist between Lady Alcina Dimitrescu's Dimitrescu Castle, Donna Beneviento's Casa Beneviento, Salvatore Moreau's Reservoir and Karl Heisenberg's factory, not to mention the village of the same name that players can explore.
-
Dimitrescu Castle, which can be explored in one of the first demos of Villageit's just one chapter in a huge story and includes three boss fights against Dimitrescu's three vampire daughters.
-
House Beneviento is a sharp dive into survival horror in the franchise's biggest descent into terror in decades.
-
The Reservoir is a spectacle as Ethan wades through dirty water while trying to escape a giant fish-like Moreau.
-
The Heisenberg Factory pits Ethan against the soldiers' cyborg experiments.
It's easy to pick favorites of these villains, and a big part of the reason why one character may be preferred over another is likely due to the region players explore before even meeting them. The fight against Casa Beneviento's boss Angie isn't as compelling as the basement of the creepy and subversive house, for example.
But not otherwise Resident Evil 7, Village's eccentric villains are compelling and charismatic in every scene. Resident Evil 9 it doesn't necessarily need another handful of antagonists to be narratively strong, yet it was great to see such diversity in personalities and characters. Denying the upcoming ninth main installment of multiple villains would mean that its sole protagonist would have unfathomably big shoes to fill, though continually inventing very likable and memorable villains is definitely not enviable.
