File sizes for the upcoming January 2025 lineup have been revealed PlayStation Plus free games. The very first PS Plus line of 2025 brings a trio of games that will appeal to fans of superheroes, open-world racing and surreal adventures.
Right at the beginning of the new year, Sony announced three games that will soon be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers, viz Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remasteredAND The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. The January 2025 PS Plus lineup will be available from Tuesday, January 7 to Monday, February 3, and subscribers at all service tiers will be able to access these games.

For PS4 and PS5 users interested in checking out January 2025's lineup of free PS Plus games, Twitter user PlaystationSize recently detailed the storage requirements. The biggest of all is by far the controversial one Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewith enormous weight 79.43 GB on PS5. Launched in February 2024, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League it's also the newest game in the January 2025 PS Plus lineup. The action-adventure shooter was widely criticized upon release due to its live service focus and some major story decisions, but given the low price of the free version, it wouldn't be too surprising if many PS Plus subscribers gave it a try. Next on the file size chart for the January 2025 PS Plus lineup is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remasteredrequiring a fairly modest cost 31.55 GB for the PS4 version. It's worth noting that no update is planned for the PS5 Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remasteredmeaning the open-world racing game doesn't use the more powerful hardware and improved features of the current generation console. Last but not least it is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxejust demanding 5.10GB on PS4 AND 5.77 GB on PS5. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded reimagining of the 2013 original and stands as a formidable standalone title thanks to the way it plays on the concept of existential dread.
The January 2025 lineup of free PS Plus additions offers a fairly diverse range of games overall, but considering that two of them are essentially remasters of ten-year-old titles, it's understandable why some subscribers might not feel very enthusiastic of them. One can only hope that the rest of 2025's PS Plus additions are much more powerful.
