You can learn more about Terry Bogard in the vast list below, which is alphabetized, making it easier for you to track down your favorite characters!
25 Establishing The Timeline
After nearly half a century of releases, establishing the exact chronology of Street Fighter 6 is a challenging task. Luckily, there are two important clues that will help us get a rough estimate of when it takes place.
The first is that Cody Travers is still Metro City’s mayor, taking Mike Haggar’s mantle after the events of the Third Strike, which is commonly believed to take place between 1998 and 1999.
The city is obviously inspired by real-life New York City (at least in SF6’s world tour mode) which allows majors to hold power for a maximum of two consecutive four-year terms. This means that SF6 takes place, at most, in 2007.
The second clue is directly related to one of SF6’s returning characters, and a series mainstay.
24 A.K.I. – Snake Kung Fu
A.K.I. is a brand-new character in the Street Fighter series and is a student of F.A.N.G, who was also a new character in this game’s predecessor. As such, her unique Chinese Kenpo & Shequan fighting style may bring back some bad memories for those who stuck with Street Fighter 5.
Through various body contortions, strange movements, and the ability to inflict poison onto her opponent, A.K.I. is a severe threat to anyone who opposes her, making her mysterious nature and evil tendencious that much more vicious and terrifying to encounter.

23 Akuma – Ansatsuken & Satsui no Hado
Speaking of mysterious individuals, Season One of Street Fighter 6 ended with a bang, bringing Akuma on board, who is as vicious and mysterious as they come, and earns that fear by being a top-tier fighter in each game he appears in.
Akuma uses his dark and murderous aura to fight and obliterate his opposition, using assassination arts and wickedness to his advantage. Akuma is bad news, and his mysteriousness makes matters that much worse. We advise staying clear of the receiving end of his onslaught!

22 Blanka – ??????
Blanka’s fighting style is based on being such a weird freak that your opponent goes into shock before the round even starts. His spins, electrical attacks, and frantic movement are incomparable to any fighting style other than Blanka’s.
Though “animalistic movements” might be the best way to describe it, there isn’t a single animal on this earth that moves like that. And if there is, there shouldn’t be.

21 Cammy – Battle Angel Alita
Street Fighter’s wiki refers to Cammy’s fighting style as “Shadaloo fighting techniques,” which means… Sort of nothing, really. There is no real-world equivalent for most of her moveset either, except for her most basic punches and jabs.
Cammy does have one of the most unique and recognizable movesets in all of fighting games, and we probably have the Battle Angel Alita manga to thank for that. Besides the long-held rumors that Cammy’s entire design is an Alita rip-off, her move set is clearly inspired by the cyborg’s spins and pirouettes designed for Zero-G combat.

20 Chun Li – Kung Fu
Chun Li is yet-another indispensable street fighter character, making an appearance in every single one of the franchise’s mainline games. Of course, she’s back for SF6, though unfortunately, she might not be able to go back to being a young single girl.
The Chun Li we see in SF6 is older, more at peace with herself, and somehow still kicking at supersonic speeds. Though she refers to her own fighting style as Kung Fu in world tour mode, her moveset seems to be a mix-and-match of various Wushu, karate, and Kempo moves.

19 Dee Jay – Kickboxing/Breakdancing
There aren’t many characters as likable and charismatic as Dee Jay. Despite approaching middle age, Dee Jay still has the dance moves and physique to take on any allies in a good-natured spar, or to protect his friends from any villains.
If you take a look at how he fights though, you’ll notice that most of his moves are actually just classic kickboxing techniques, mixed with a healthy degree of breakdancing mostly for flair.

18 Dhalsim – Esoteric Yoga
Dhalsim is the perfect character for making the transition from fully fictional fighting styles into those that at least somewhat resemble actual martial arts. While the ancient art of Yoga is 100% real, using it as a fighting technique is almost antithetical to its core concepts.
Ever-so-calm Dhalsim seems to find a perfect way to balance this apparent contradiction, though. Dhalsim uses his intense spiritual knowledge and mastery of Yoga to fight in the name of peace.
Though he can do a lot of damage, Dhalsim always seems calm during battle and never attacks unprovoked.

17 E. Honda – Sumo
If there are two things E.Honda loves in this life, they are sumo and a second round of sumo. Everything about the character is undoubtedly designed with the Japanese martial art in mind, from his looks to his dialogue to his moveset.
Once again, the Street Fighter II SNES manual gives us his exact birthday of November 3, 1960. Making E. Honda roughly 47 by the time SF6 takes place.

16 Ed – Psycho Boxing
Ed made his playable debut in Street Fighter 5 and hit the ground running with his impressive Psycho Powers that he expertly mixed with his expert boxing skills, making him a formidable foe, to say the least.
And, in Street Fighter 6, you can expect largely the same, except he has further honed his skills, making him even more of a threat. Especially when you factor in all the new system mechanics. Ed is nimble, calculated, and devastating, and the sky is the limit for his progress!

15 Guile – Air Force Combatives Program
Canonically, there is no question about Guile’s fighting style. As a working pilot for the US air force, Guile’s fighting style is supposed to be that of the Air Force Combatives Program, a fighting style uniquely developed for that military branch.
However, none of Guile’s moves actually resemble anything in the AFCP. Instead, Guile’s fighting style has no real-world equivalent, except for some similarities with Boxing and Krav Maga.

14 Jamie – Drunken Boxing Kung Fu
Drunken Boxing Kung Fu masters imitate the patterns and movements of a drunk person to catch their opponents off-guard and lower their defenses. As a technique, it requires as much precise execution as it does an element of performance, and Jamie illustrates this duality beautifully.
As charismatic as he is, he can also be a terrifying force to be reckoned with once he gets going. Though we can’t know his age for sure, his style and attitude are actually very reminiscent of that of Juri or Chun-Li in earlier games, leading us to believe he is somewhere in his mid-twenties.

13 JP – Bartitsu/Psyco Power
Johan Petrovic is SF6’s distinguished, cruel, and obscenely-rich antagonist, so it makes sense that his fighting style would involve minimizing contact with other fighters as much as possible, lest they get their poor on him. JP mixes Bartitsu, a gentlemanly martial art of that involves fighting with a cane, with a (un)healthy dose of Psyco power to keep his opponents under pressure and at a distance.
We know from his backstory that he was the former CFO of Shadaloo, a profession with an average age of 54 and an extremely narrow standard deviation. Seeing as SF6 takes place about eight years after the collapse of Shadaloo, it’s easy to assume that JP is in his early sixties.

12 Juri Han – Taekwondo
Demented-goth-nightmare-girl Juri Han is back for another entry in the Street Fighter franchise. Besides making everyone extremely thirsty, she also moves and controls much more smoothly than in any other entry.
Juri’s signature kicks and fast movement is clearly inspired by Taekwondo, with its head-height kicks and open-palm punches. She’s also added a bit of psycho power into the mix, just to keep things unpredictable.

11 Ken Masters – Improvisational Ansatsuken
The second most important clue lies in Ken’s official prequel comic. There, we get a brief look at Mel Master’s cellphone, which displays one of the distinctive icons of the iPhone. Surprise, surprise, the first iPhone’s international launch was in 2007.
The Street Fighter II SNES manual reveals that Ken was born on February 14th, 1965. Making him roughly 42 by the time SF6 takes place. Ken shares Ryu’s Ansatsuken (assassination fist) fighting style.
However, his grapples and jabs reveal that Ken doesn’t stick to his traditional training as much as Ryu, instead opting to mix improvised street-brawling moves in his fights to ensure his victory.

10 Kimberly – Bushinryu Ninjitsu/Parkour
Bushinryu is a particular style of Ninjitsu created for the final fight series. In essence, Bushinryu is a stylized version of Ninjitsu that involves the use of disappearing and teleportation spells to gain an advantage over a large number of opponents.
Though Kimberly isn’t the first Bushinryu master in the series, her unique gameplay comes from her implementation of Parkour moves for a fast-paced and fluid rush down gameplay. Though she looks considerably older than Lily, Kimberly is still described as a teen, and her official character page states she graduated college early, meaning she’s probably between 17 and 19 years old.

There is no doubt that series newcomer Lily takes heavy inspiration from T. Hawk. Not only is she also part of the Thunderfoot Native American tribe, but the way she moves is also very reminiscent of the beloved character.
However, Lily gives her own spin to this style with her incorporation of war clubs, which are commonly used as a part of the Okichitaw indigenous combat art.
That said, there is very little about Lily’s style that actually resembles Okichitaw, with her throws being a notable exception. Her age is also not clear, as is the case for all SF6 newcomers since no information about their official birth years has been released.
Going by looks and attitude alone, however, we can estimate that Lily is in her teens, most likely between 14 and 16 years old.

8 Luke – Military MMA
SF6 seems to be prepping fans for a new take on the classic Ryu and Ken rivalry with Jamie and Luke. Though not everybody loved him at first, or even at second, Luke is unmistakably SF6’s flagship character.
Hotheaded and impulsive (and blonde), it makes sense that Luke would share many similarities with Ken.
Just like Ken, Luke incorporates a lot of improvisation and street brawling into a more cemented fighting style. In this case, Military MMA. As for his age, it’s only logical that he would be around the same age as Jamie, give or take a year.

7 M. Bison
M. Bison is somehow still alive in Street Fighter 6, making his title, the ‘Undying Lord,’ very fitting and apt. While we’re unsure how or why he’s back, what we do know is he is still a master at using his Psycho Powers to further enhance his Lerdrit fighting style, making him a tremendous threat to anyone who steps in his way.
He is a horrible man who has done many horrific things, and no one can seem to find a way to keep him down and out for good. And, to make matters worse, the new Drive Gauge system in Street Fighter 6 makes him even more of a nuisance, leading to some remarkably devastating attacks and combos.

6 Manon – Judo/Ballet
Besides being a formidable fighter, Manon is a worldwide superstar thanks to her acting and modeling career. Unfortunately, both are industries that famously don’t take kindly to women’s natural aging process.
Seeing as Manon is at the peak of her fame, it’s safe to assume that she’s in her mid-to-late thirties. As a fighter, Manon combines Judo throws with the grace of Ballet to re-direct her opponent’s force against them, and severely punish their mistakes.
