Egypt’s tourism revenues rise 4.7% in 2024

RIYADH: Egypt’s tourism revenues rose 4.7 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2024, reaching $6.6 billion, according to a new report. Data released by the African country’s Tourism Ministry shows a 17.8 percent increase compared to the corresponding period in the peak year of 2010, according to a statement. The increase is mainly attributed to an increase in the number of seats on flights arriving in Egypt and hotel rooms, which helps to ensure travelers’ convenience and improve the visitor experience.
