Dynamax Bulbasaur Max (Max Monday) battle guide in Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO Max Out Season introduced a new mechanic called Max Battles. Max Battles appear on objectives on the game map called Power Points, which can offer Trainers encounters with fearsome Max Battle Bosses: Pokemon capable of Dynamaxing or Gigantamaxing, or Max Particles, which are used to trigger this transformation in battle.

To help celebrate this new mechanic and give players even more opportunities to interact with Dynamax Pokemon, Pokémon GO introduced a recurring event called Max Mondays, starting with the November 2024 duration of the Max Out season. Max Mondays are essentially the Max Battle variant of Spotlight Hours, as they are a one-hour event with a targeted Pokemon that will appear in all Power Spots available nearby. Everything you need to know about the Bulbasaur Max Monday event and preparing to battle Dynamax Bulbasaur has been included in the guide below.

In Pokémon GO, the Bulbasaur Max Monday event takes place November 25, 2024, and will run in 6pm and 7pm local time. During this one-hour duration, all Max Battles close together in your game's Power Points Pokémon GO the map will be overwhelmed by Bulbasaur bosses, meaning Trainers will have the best chance of facing this monster and even catching it repeatedly.

Pokemon GO Bulbasaur Weaknesses and Resistances

In Pokémon GOBulbasaur is a Grass and Poison type specimen. Due to this type combination, Bulbasaur is resistant to Type Grass, Water, Electric, Fighting and Fairy specimens, so players should avoid bringing them into such encounters. However, Bulbasaur is also weak Flying, Ice, Psychic and Fire types – so Trainers should implement such specimens into their team to face Bulbasaur whenever possible.

Bulbasaur receives more power during sunny and cloudy weather thanks to the weather boost mechanic, so Trainers may want to take this into account and potentially avoid battles in such locations if possible.

Dynamax Bulbasaur counters in Pokemon GO

In Max Battles, Trainers are limited to using Dynamax Pokemon, which significantly limits the amount of counters available when facing Max Battles bosses. Thankfully, there are still some very solid options to consider when trying to counter Dynamax Bulbasaur, which have been described below.

  • Dynamax Charmander / Dynamax Charmeleon / Dynamax Charizard they are some of the best Pokemon to take with you, thanks to their Fire Typing and ability to use powerful moves of this attribute.
  • Dynamax Scorbunny / Dynamax Raboot / Dynamax Cinderella they are also suitable for the same reasons as Charizard, making them some of the best choices to consider.
  • Dynamax Beldum / Dynamax Metang / Dynamax Metagross they have dual psychic typing, making them capable of dealing super-effective damage against Dynamax Bulbasaur.
  • Dynamax Falink It has a pure Fighting-type, to which Dynamax Bulbasaur is vulnerable, making it a rather powerful counter.
  • In case none of the other counters are available to you, normal types like Dynamax Skwovet, Dynamax Greedent, Dynamax Woolo and Dynamax Dubwool can still get the job done with a careful approach.
