Dying Light 2 brings back the Winter Tales event

“Winter Tales: Gifts from Above 2024” Dying light 2This year's holiday-themed event is now live, offering players the opportunity to take part in festive activities and collect special rewards for a limited time. The game's developer, Techland, previously detailed the latest Winter Tales event Dying light 2 as a gift and a love letter to his community.




Techland recently released update 1.20 for Dying light 2which introduced some improvements to the title's prologue and solved several problems. To coincide with the release of this latest update, the studio also announced the return of the Winter Tales event for its popular open-world zombie survival game.

Dying light 2 players can unlock gear like the Killer Krampus Outfit by completing special vendor Baka bounties and collecting holiday decorations during “Winter Tales: Gifts from Above 2024.” Meanwhile, all winter sweets collected during the event can be exchanged for other items, including the Skoll, a legendary edged weapon in Dying light 2and the Punisher. This year's edition of “Winter Tales” will once again feature the unique boss Uncle Snow and his infected minions, as well as a new type of zombie specializing in attacking from afar called the Ice Spitter.



The holiday-themed Winter Tales event returns to Dying Light 2 in 2024

As it is currently the season of giving, everything Dying light 2 according to Techland, players will be able to claim the Above the Law bundle for free before “Winter Tales: Gifts from Above 2024” ends on January 2. The set, which includes the Peacekeeper outfit, two blueprints, and a paraglider skin, would usually be available for purchase with DL Points, Dying light 2's premium in-game currency.

Techland's previous 1.19 update featured a Halloween-themed version of Dying light 2Tower Raid, the game mode that transforms the first-person shooter into a roguelike. In addition to introducing a new final boss and additional floor types, this version of the activity added special playable characters with unique loadouts and characteristics. Update 1.19 also delivered bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and various other changes.


In August, Techland unveiled it publicly Dying Light: The Beasta standalone game featuring the franchise's original protagonist, Kyle Crane. The next title was supposed to be the second expansion of Dying light 2but the project's scope was expanded after a leak forced Techland to reevaluate the narrative of the planned DLC. Those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Dying light 2 has been assured that they will receive Dying Light: The Beast at no additional cost.
