With a game as detailed as Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it can be easy to miss a few things while you focus on more important tasks like flirting with Harding again. All right. The ancient gods bent on corrupting the world can wait.

There are many fantasy worlds with bald antagonists.
But it's also worth checking out some of those dark corners and unassuming corridors where you might otherwise have just waltzed. Whether it's hidden treasure or a fantastic sight, you may want to explore a little more on your next outing to find some of the game's best-kept secrets.

The Music Room
So close to Solas that he invites you to his band's concert
When you find yourself at the Lighthouse, your base of operations in The Veilguard, you might think you've already seen pretty much everything after your first quick jaunt into the area. But right at the start you can unlock an interesting room that helps flesh out the character of the place.
Solve the statue puzzle at the Lighthouse and a stone passage will open into the main chamber leading to the Music Room. Along with a gorgeous piano and perfect golden hour lighting, it also includes some treasures and a codex entry. Also, you might want to make a note of that other suspicious looking door for later.
7
Felis Forum
Cat cafés close to avoid the apocalypse
As you explore Dock Town in Minrathous, you may notice a small area just out of reach with a cat sitting on a windowsill. No matter how hard you try, you just can't reach it. But don't lose heart, your patience will be worth it.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has many hidden areas and secret locations, but which ones are worth tracking down?
As the game progresses, you can return later to find the door to the establishment finally opened, revealing an interesting place called Felis Forum. As the name suggests, it seems to be a hangout for all the cats in Dock Town and yes, you can pet them.

Puzzle Statue of Death Estates
Best thing you'd find in a killer's backyard
As you wander the distinct Antivan metropolis of Treviso, imagining what kinds of enchanting coffee smells permeate the streets, you may feel the need to defeat some of Antaam's occupying forces. It's an understandable compulsion.
But if you keep passing one of these groups near the center of the map, you'll eventually find yourself in Dellamorte Estates. Yes, just like your disastrous and murderous friend Lucanis Dellamorte. In addition to being a gorgeous courtyard, it also includes a statue puzzle that's worth solving to find some really cute treasure.
5
Treasure of the Rivaini Waterfall
Always check behind the waterfall
This little secret is really easy to miss if you don't happen to have Taash with you, and come on, you will have Taash with you. But it's still kind of a blink and you notice it. In the first area of Rivain Coast, right after you meet them, you'll see a waterfall off to the side.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Every region, ranked
Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes you through the most remote regions of Thedas, but which is the best one for Rook and the team to visit?
Of course, since this is a video game and you're a smart little video game champ, you probably already have the “control behind every waterfall” itch rooted in your very soul. But even if you miss it, Taash will dutifully suggest you check it out in that perfectly deadpan way of theirs. Treasures, some resources and a sense of respect for the player's rules await you in that corner.
4
The repaired chest in the clearing
How did the guardians lose him?
The Hossberg Wetlands are already an unfortunate place, from the desolate landscape to the strangely soft-sounding name itself. So you might already not be particularly inclined to pay much attention to its voluminous details, and that's even before having to fight a haunted scarecrow.
But you may have seen a ladder off to the side in the Sheltered Glade area while trying to hold back your retching. There you will find some statues (this game loves statue puzzles). Have them each face a nearby torch to open a door to some loot that may or may not be worth the inevitable showers you'll feel compelled to take later.
3
A picturesque waterfall respite
The treasure behind this waterfall is you
Not every hidden location needs a tangible reward to be worth it. As you explore Arlathan Forest, you can find a small walkway to the southeast that loops around behind a waterfall. Now, that's the secret.

You can find a little resource gathering point there, sure, but the point here is the vibes. Just standing there, enjoying the soothing sounds of the water and the breathtaking rainbows sparkling across the waterfalls can be worth putting down the controller for a little relaxation. At least until Taash starts bothering Emmrich by telling him he's a “skull lover” again.
2
The balcony of the Garden of Memory
If your grave doesn't have secret treasure, increase it
During a quest with your delightful necromancer Emmrich, Scorpio's romantic bait, he will take you to the Garden of Memory in the Halls of the Necropolis. This place is disturbingly breathtaking in the best way and would absolutely be an ideal hangout for any goth kids in the Dragon Age universe.
This highly respected graveyard holds many secrets in addition to its interesting lore for Mournwatch players. But one in particular can be difficult to reach. Above the entrance to the Garden is a chest, and to find it you need to enter a portal inside a nearby mausoleum surrounded by fog. You'll be rewarded with treasure and a view to die for (and likely resurrect as a useful corpse).
1
The Wolf's Lair
The perfect place for a hatching egg
If a good view is all you need, then look no further than the wolf's den in the lighthouse. Remember that secret passage leading to the Music Room on one side of the main room? Well, it stands to reason that the other side also has its own hidden surprise. Symmetry is a beautiful thing.
Continue making your way through the Music Room with the help of a new Nether Beam found upstairs outside, and another puzzle involving those fun beam objects will eventually unlock the other door. This will take you to the highest point of the Lighthouse, along with a new monument to display in the courtyard and a balcony with the best view of the entire place.
