While there were a lot of collectibles to find in the earlier chapters of DOOM: The Dark Ages, the sixth chapter has even more. From a large amount of gold to a bunch of secrets, every nook and cranny has a potential reward for you to find as you slaughter every demon in sight. If nothing else, collecting all the gold will make it easier to purchase upgrades sooner, so it is worth going out of your way to try and find everything.

Doom: The Dark Ages is an eye-popping first-person shooter with nonstop action and some very welcome additions to the Slayer’s arsenal.
All Gold Locations
Go to where you found the first Life Sigil near the waterfall. Take a left and follow the path. Look for a demonic tank that will be shooting at you. Destroy it and grab the pile of gold there. This will get you eight out of the 513 gold that is available in the level. Turn around and head north until you see the river to your right. There will be a path where you will find more gold on the ground.
North of where you found the first ruby, you will find five gold lying on the ground. From here, follow the path toward the first artillery cannon to find more gold on the ground. There will also be a pile of gold you can pick up upon destroying the artillery as well. In the large cave where you find a weapon skin and the second ruby, there is 18 gold in total to be found.
You can obtain a large stash of gold by finding the fifth secret near the village where you destroy the second Gore Portal. After destroying the second Gore Portal, look for the spot in the village with the rock formations that look like bones in the pile of gore. You will find eight gold between the rocks.
When you obtain the Chainshot as part of the main objective, a gate will open. Kill the demons, go through the open gate, and look to the right to find a large stash of gold.
When you return from destroying the third Gore Portal, go up the hill and out of the cave. There will be a pile of gold on the ledge looking over the village.
In the cave with the third ruby, there is a spot where you can use your shield to get up to a higher platform. This allows you to jump onto the pedestal where there is a bunch of gold. There is more gold you can find as part of the eighth secret, which can be found below.
From the spot where you found the first codex, head toward the two giants fighting off in the distance. Deal with the big demon that appears, and then smash the chest to receive 50 gold.
While facing the third Sentinel Shrine, turn around and go left past the burning rubble. There will be some gold and the third Life Sigil.
In the area with the fifth Gore Portal, you can find a cache of gold by jumping across the bridge that you used to find the eleventh secret. Pull the lever to open a gate and then smash the cache to get the gold.
After destroying all the Gore Portals, follow the waypoint. Around 250 meters, take a left and then follow the path to find a cache of gold.

All Ruby Locations
First Ruby
The first ruby is near where you found the Slayer Toy. From that room, take a right and go down toward the demonic structure with the green shield icon at its base. Destroy this structure and then kill the enemies that spawn. This will break the barrier surrounding a nearby statue that is holding a ruby.
Second Ruby
The second ruby is in the cave where you found the Impaler weapon skin. In the main chamber of this cave, there is a cage surrounded by water. Jump into the water and go left to find a hidden tunnel. Emerge from the water to find some gold, and then turn around to see a spot that you can climb. Deal with the tentacles that appear in the next chamber and then destroy the wall on the left with your shield. The next obstacle will be a gate that can only be opened by hitting the glowing blue spot with your shield. At the end of this path there will be a device that you can interact with. This will lower the cage in the middle of the cave. Quickly head back down into the water to enter the cage and claim the second ruby.
Third Ruby
For information on how to find the third ruby, see the seventh and eighth secrets below.
Fourth Ruby
The fourth and final ruby is south of the waypoint that leads you back to the wall, but to obtain it, you must destroy all the wolf statues in the area.
Demonic Essence – Ammo & Armor
The first Demonic Essence is obtained by killing the mini-boss near the second Gore Portal. The second Demonic Essence is obtained by killing the mini-boss near the fourth Gore Portal. Both of these are story-related and cannot be missed.
All Siege Part 1 Secrets
There are alot of secrets spread across this level, but the rewards make them worth the effort.
First Secret: Life Sigil
After clearing the battlefield and destroying the first Gore Portal, go west. Destroy the two tanks and look for a wooden plank bridge with a waterfall nearby. This is where you will find the first secret in this level.
Second Secret: Slayer Toy
From the Sentinel Shrine near where you destroyed the first Gore Portal, head north toward the purple light off in the distance. That purple light is the Secret Key for this level, but you can’t access it unless you kill the nearby demons. Once you have the key, turn around, go down the path, and head toward the doorway. Approach the door and it’ll open (provided you have the aforementioned secret key), and inside the room, you will find the first toy.
Third and Fourth Secret: Weapon Skin for the Impaler
From where the first artillery cannon can be found, head down the path and take a left under the bridge with two bodies hanging under it. Take out all of the enemies and look for a spot on the wall where you can climb. In this cave, you will find some gold and a chamber that can be opened with the secret key, which is where you will find the weapon skin. Finding this cavern is considered a secret as well.
Fifth Secret: Large Stash of Gold
While in the area where you found the cave, head north to reach a village. Continue going north while facing the demonic ship up in the sky. Grab the gold on the ground and kill the large demon that appears. From there, follow the armor shards into a tunnel under the statue where a blue portal waits for you. This chamber is considered a secret, and it is filled with gold. Use your shield to open the gate on the right and then smash the wall beyond it. Follow this path and hit the box to gain access to the rest of the gold in this area. To get out of this area, use the device near the grates.
Sixth Secret: Stash of Gold and Second Life Sigil
In the area where you destroyed the second Gore Portal, follow the waypoint to enter a cave. In the chamber with four pillars, you will be ambushed by a bunch of demons. A portal will appear once they are all dead. While working on bringing down the shield as part of the main objective, there is a wall you can find that can be broken down to enter a room with eight gold.
Follow the red beam in the chamber with the shielded object. Take a right and enter another chamber to find a lever. Pull the lever to activate the jump pad. This leads you to the final part of the shield puzzle and the second Life Sigil.
Seventh and Eighth Secret: Ruby & Gold Stash
After obtaining the first codex, kill any remaining enemies in the area to drop the barrier blocking the entrance to a nearby cave with two blue torches outside. Enter the cave and drop down. You will need to make sure you have the secret key from earlier, as you will need it. With the secret key, you will be able to open a gate on the right, where you will find the third ruby.
When you’ve obtained the third ruby and the gold on top of the round platform, jump down and enter the room directly in front of you. There will be some gold and a wall you can climb up. There will be fireballs launching at you from the ceiling, so watch out for those. On your left is a wall you can break down to find some gold, and on the right is a path that leads you to even more gold and a glowing cache of gold.
Ninth Secret: Stash of Gold
From the third artillery, head north until you find a large blue flag in shallow water. If you look down, you will see a pool of water that you can dive into. Reach the other end of the underwater tunnel and then swim up to gain access to a stash of gold.
Tenth Secret: Small Stash of Gold
While in the room where you found the ninth secret, exit the room and go left. Climb up the wall directly in front of you and then smash the barricade on the left with your shield to find eight gold.
Eleventh Secret: Cache of Gold
The last secret in this chapter can be found after destroying the fourth Gore Portal and following the waypoint. Kill the demons that spawn in the cave, and then go through the portal. On the other side of the portal, take a right and smash the wall with the shield icon. From there, take a right into the next room and then go through the doorway on the right of that room. Use your shield to bring down the blocks. Climb onto the box, turn around, and then use your shield to get up to the ledge behind you. Smash the barricade to form a bridge, and while you are on the bridge, look to the right to see gold on the edge of a doorway. Carefully jump to this spot and collect the gold on the floor. From there, go down the stairs to find a cache of gold.
All Codex Entry Locations
The first Codex Entry can be found after destroying the third Gore Portal. Return to the village where you destroyed the second Gore Portal. Go northeast, and from the top of the ledge, you will see a small area up ahead with the Codex floating there. Drop down from the ledge and move around the rock formation that the codex is on top of. There will be a spot where you can reach the Codex if you run and jump.
The second Codex Entry can be found near where the Mancubus Toy is. Open the map and look for the ledge that is to the left. Find a spot where you can jump down to obtain some gold and the second Codex Entry.
Mancubus Toy Location
The second toy can be found a little after you’ve destroyed the third Gore Portal. Follow the waypoint until you reach a large statue. At the feet of the statue, you will find the Mancubus toy.
Challenges
There are three challenges in total for this chapter, and here is what you need to do to complete them.
Immovable Object
To unlock this challenge, you must parry 10 Hell Knight attacks with your shield. It’s possible to get all 10 parries on a single Hell Knight, and you will encounter several throughout this chapter.
Unstoppable Force
The second Challenge can be completed soon after you start this level. All you need to do is hit demons with the Flail 25 times to complete this challenge. Just make sure to be using the Flail whenever you have a melee charge.
Siege Breaker
There are four artillery cannons spread across the level. To complete this challenge, you must destroy all of them. The first one can be found just north of the first ruby. Follow the path while claiming the gold on the ground until you reach a spot where you can go left or right under the large bridge. Go left and follow the path toward the gold and the barrier that can be destroyed with your shield. Beyond this point, you will see the first artillery cannon, which will be guarded by a small group of demons. The artillery cannon can be destroyed by using your shield.
The second artillery cannon is near where you destroyed the second Gore Portal. Follow the waypoint like you are heading toward the next main objective. Directly ahead, you will see one path that is on fire and another path guarded by demons. From here, go left to see a bunch of demons with shields and the second artillery cannon.
The third artillery cannon can be found near the fourth Gore Portal. While facing the spot where the portal had been, turn around and go towards the tower and dead trees. Go through the shallow water and take a right. When you reach the burning tree, look to the left and destroy the cart there to get some gold. Then, approach the artillery cannon and destroy it.
At the spot where the fourth ruby is found near the wolf statues, turn around and go across the river. On the other side, you will see the last artillery cannon firing away.
