By granting guaranteed weapons for every dungeon encounter, Destiny 2's dungeons would become much more valuable to farm.
Being a shooter game, Destiny 2 offers different activities for players to farm items and weapons as they please. They range from regular Strikes and Gambit or Crucible matches through to Raids and Dungeons, designed to be end-game experiences for well-equipped players. Both Raids and Dungeons offer armor and weapons as rewards, and weapons tend to be among the most powerful in the game, as demonstrated by Destiny 2's VS Chill Inhibitor by Vesper's Host. While Raids are geared towards crafting by providing red-bordered weapons, Dungeon firearms are typically only upgradeable, and this can be a problem given drop rates and loot. However, there is a clear way to do this Destiny 2 to make Dungeons much better.
It seems unlikely that craftable weapons will ever be added to Dungeons after Bungie's recent post about the future Destiny 2 plans, which stated that the weapons in Episode 3 would not be craftable. This would have been a great solution to the limited drops and bloated loot of Dungeons, which can be an increasing difficulty to farm due to the fact that players are also faced with random rolls on every weapon they obtain. Therefore, the best thing to do would be to not only guarantee two drops for every encounter in the dungeon, but at least one weapon between them.

Destiny 2 should now bite the bullet that it has long dodged
Destiny 2 is currently in one of its darkest moments and to get out of the woods it would finally have to move and go back by making a big decision.
Encounters in the dungeon Destiny 2 they typically have a loot of five or six possible items, often with two or three pieces of armor and two or three guns. In addition to this, not all of these items are dropped from each encounter, but rather are divided among the various encounters or bosses within the Dungeon. This means that it's impossible to unlock all of the Dungeon's drops even after four or five runs, let alone find the god roll for every weapon you want.
With Destiny 2Following the Frontiers armor overhaul, Dungeon armor may also be affected and become much more desirable than it is now, meaning players will have to farm for a long time before they get everything they want from a certain dungeon. However, one huge change to dungeon drops could be implemented to fix all of these issues, and that would be to make each boss or encounter drop two items. The difference with double loot would be that these items would have forced categories, and the best way to handle this would be to ensure that the loot is split into a weapon and a piece of armor, or at least ensure one weapon and then a second random item.
The guaranteed weapons would make the Destiny 2 dungeon worth farming
This approach would be very responsive to player feedback, especially afterwards Destiny 2of double loot weeks in Vesper's Host as a gesture by Bungie to make up for the time wasted farming VS Chill Inhibitor during the perk weighting controversy. At the time, many players were outspoken in saying that Dungeons' double loot is what makes them worth farming due to their massive loot and tiny chances of getting specific rolls. Instead of permanent double loot, which could also be a solution, having a guaranteed weapon and a second drop per encounter would be more than enough.
In theory, there is the possibility that even with double loot active but without guaranteed weapons, you can finish a run without weapons. Since these weapons are not craftable and may never be, giving a guaranteed weapon (and possibly a guaranteed armor piece) per encounter would kill two birds with one stone, as all Destiny 2 Dungeons would immediately be worth farming, much more so than they are now anyway.
Destiny 2Heresy releases early next year, and it's hard to think Bungie will make this change before then, if at all, considering all of the game's most pressing current issues. However, the launch of Frontiers would be a great time to add this system to Dungeons, making them more desirable for players to spend time in.
