Cozy management game Dungeon Inn shares new gameplay [EXCLUSIVE]

Game Rant can share an exclusive new look Prison Inna cozy strategy and management game that is about to launch in Early Access. The colorful genre hybrid has so far only been confirmed for release on Steam.

Originally revealed in summer 2023, Prison Inn is the debut title from Cat Society, a South Korean studio made up of just three people. Publisher Spiral Up Games recently announced that the strategic management game will launch as an Early Access title on Steam on November 13th.

Prison InnThe upcoming Steam release is being commemorated with a launch trailer, which Game Rant can now exclusively reveal. The 86-second video illustrates how Prison Inn will revolve around the management of a charming establishment for adventurers run by the ambitious innkeeper Sara. The main problem with Sara's business model is that she advertises her inn to everyone, meaning she has a dangerous tendency to rent accommodations to members of two rival guilds at the same time. Making sure these competing groups don't cross paths with each other will be critical to keeping customers happy and maximizing profits.

Dungeon Inn's gameplay loop combines several genres

Prison Inn will therefore combine elements of management simulation and turn-based puzzles. If things go wrong and a fight breaks out between the guests, players will have to choose a side and hope for the best. The initial version of Prison Inn it will feature 16 stages, over 80 guests and more than 100 events. This should make it quite replayable from day one, as players will have full control over decisions about when to welcome new guests and when and where to expand or upgrade their beautiful facility.

Cat Society estimates that a single playthrough of the daily version of the game will take five to eight hours. As usually happens with Early Access titles, the South Korean studio will solicit player feedback which will determine its development Prison Inn moving forward. The current plan is for the game to remain in Early Access for about a year before a full release towards the end of 2025.

The full version of the game will have a full story, more events, additional guests and extra missions, among other new features. Meanwhile, Prison InnThe preview build of is expected to launch on Steam around 2pm ET on November 13th. In doing so, the colorful strategy and management game will join the ever-growing list of cozy indie titles currently in Early Access.
