These challenges are called Victory Zones, and there are four in total. Getting through them will help you collect Aether Spirits, gather level-up materials for your fighters, and even collect some chests. Your story as the very best Aether trainer starts in the Corridor of Fading Echoes on Jarilo-VI.

How To Begin Embark! Corridor Of Fading Echoes!

To get started, interact with the Aetherium Wars Player Terminal in the Old Weapons Testing Ground. Select the Corridor of Fading Echoes among the four Victory Zones you can challenge during the event, it’ll be the only one that’s unlocked. Once you press Enter Victory Zone you will be instantly teleported.

The Old Weapons Testing Ground is located in Rivet Town on Jarilo-VI.

Once inside, you will have a short chat with March 7th, and then you will see Mr. Giovanni waiting for you a few steps from where you stand. Approaching him will trigger more dialogue in which he will remind you of the objectives of the Victory Zone, or the things you need to do to get your Victory Rating up. In short, to succeed you will need to:

  • Collect Roaming Data: you can do this by simply exploring the Victory Zone and fighting the Aether Spirits you find all around it.
  • Participate in Sparring Matches: defeat other players in the Victory Zone to boost your Victory Rating.

Mr. Giovanni will give you a Blaze Out of Space Aether Spirit so you can begin collecting Roaming Data in this zone.

Aether Spirits get automatically added to your team when you defeat a new one for the first time.

As this is your first Victory Zone challenge, you will naturally collect your first Aether Spirits here, and doing so is rather simple. All you need to do is approach them as you would regular mobs in the Maze (Star Rail’s map). They will detect your presence just as regular mobs do, and you can engage them in battle by attacking them.

Aether Spirits will ambush you just as regular mobs in the Maze would.

You will find a Silvermane Canoneer straight ahead on the path where you just encountered Giovanni. Defeat and recruit him, and you can proceed towards the second Aether Spirit location by taking the next right turn, and then a left immediately after. You can battle and recruit an Imaginary Weaver at this location.

Congratulations! You’ve just assembled a full team and can continue forward!

Talk To Giovanni And Continue The Challenge

Giovanni will give you some Aether Expansion Chips. You can use these to give your Aether Spirits different buffs. You will be prompted to try them out, and then, the gate behind Giovanni will open, and you will be able to continue exploring the Victory Zone.

You will immediately run into an opponent that will want to battle you. His team is composed of two Imaginary Weavers and one Silvermane Gunner. Defeat him, and you will obtain Aether Spirit Upgrade Data x20, which will be enough to get your Blaze Out of Space from level one to level two.

Keep moving forward and you will be able to collect a Basic Treasure on your left, this is the first out of five total Treasure Chests that are obtainable in this zone.

Continue forth and you will run into Serval and Pela, which will trigger more dialogue between the both of them, Giovanni, March and the Trailblazer. Luca and Dunn will also show up. This is where you learn that Serval and Pela are championship contenders, and Serval explains the first Snowshine Lamp Puzzle to everyone, as she is in charge of the Victory Zone along with Pela.

You will need to solve three Snowshine Lamp puzzles, without counting Serval’s tutorial puzzle to be able to advance. The first two can be found to the West and the East of the Maze. There will also be treasure chests in these locations.

How To Solve Snowshine Lamp Puzzles

The principle behind this is fairly simple. You will use Thermic Cores to light up all the designated Snowshine Lamps, making sure to arrange them so that the lamps’ AoE successfully reaches all the lamps that are in the vicinity, and their heat transferring capabilities activate to get the lamps that are out of reach.

Since Snowshine Lamp puzzles are logic-based, there will be several different ways you can solve them. It is possible you will find other ways; we have detailed the easiest solution for each while also accounting for the chests.

Head North on the corridor and then West on the first opening. You will arrive in a small alley where there are a handful of crates. To solve this puzzle you will need to move the crates until the AoE of the lamp on the crate can reach the one that is behind the fence.

After completing this puzzle you will notice that it did not automatically reach the target lamp as with the last two; you need to turn the gear-bridge to put the lamp in the target lamp’s range.

Head North into the corridor facing you and take a left. You will run into another challenger here with two Incineration Shadewalkers, a Silvermane Gunner and a Silvermane Canoneer in their team. There will also be an Imaginary Weaver just a few steps further from the challenger, so you will need to defeat them both to reach the switch that will let you turn the gear.

Unlock the switch and turn the gear in a clockwise motion two consecutive times. There! You just solved the final puzzle and can continue forth to challenge the Serval and Pela, the Championship Contenders for this Victory Zone.

Duel Serval And Pela

Stelle, the female Trailblazer, talking to Serval and Pela in Honkai Star Rail

Walk North, then East across the gear-bridge and you will run into another challenger. Her team consists of two Imaginary Weavers, a Silvermane Gunner, and a Silvermane Canonneer. She’s standing between you and a Precious Treasure chest, so you must defeat her and advance.

After crossing that gate that you have just unlocked, you will arrive back to the main corridor; Serval and Pela will be waiting for you there for the final showdown.

You will have an advantage in this fight as your starter team will be mostly composed of Aberrants, while Serval and Pela’s team is fully composed of Humanoids.

To get through this fight quickly, you should keep in mind these important tips:

  • Make sure you have leveled all your Aether Spirits using the materials you’ve gathered throughout the challenge. Make sure your Chip slots are well-equipped too.
  • Your Wrap Trotter’s Hogdash lets you cause some minor damage while healing your team, so activate this ability as early into the fight as you possibly can. The Silvermane Lieutenant hits quite hard, you will definitely need your healer, but you still need to cause as much damage as quickly as possible.
  • Use your Imaginary Weaver’s ability to attack consecutively to your advantage.
  • The Silvermane Canoneer is more effective as a support unit than he is with his Normal Attacks, so try to have skill points available whenever it’s his turn to attack.

Winning this fight concludes the Victory Zone challenge, but there will still be a few things to do after you’ve obtained the Mastery Mark, like accessing the Blocked Off Area that only becomes accessible after you finish the main challenge. The last challenger, and the last collectible Aether Spirits, which includes the Silvermane Liutenant, are all locked behind this special area.

Furthermore, the quest won’t end until you’ve exited the Victory Zone and ran into the unsavory IPC workers that caused some trouble for you and March at the beginning of the event. Only after you defeat them again will you truly be able to call the matter closed.
