PARIS: Algerian boxer Imane Khelif won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Friday, emerging as a champion from a tumultuous Games run in which she endured intense scrutiny in the ring and online abuse from around the world over misconceptions about her femininity. Khelif beat China’s Yang Liu 5-0 in the women’s welterweight division final, capping the best fight streak of her boxing career with a win at Roland Garros.
