Black Ops 6 Holiday Nuketown has hidden a zombie Santa Claus

Key points

  • Call of Duty is going all out for the holidays, with a celebration Treyarch is dubbing “CODMas.”

  • As part of the celebrations, Nuketown has been transformed into a Christmas-themed map, complete with snowballs to throw.

  • But that's not all. Santa Claus can be seen flying through the air at the start of a match, except he is not Santa Claus but a zombie with parasites.

With December in full swing, Treyarch decided to join in on the holiday fun by transforming the iconic and favorite Nuketown map into a snowy paradise. Its launch is part of a celebration they're dubbing “CODMas,” and there's a new limited-time mode, as well as a fun version of Infected to go with some festive gear.

You're all taking Black Ops 6's mimicry too seriously

Camo grinding in Zombies should be the icing on the cake, not a 9 to 5 job.

That said, the real surprise is the snowy Nuketown map which has been revamped with Christmas lights, decorations and snowmen everywhere. There's even a Santa Claus flying through the air at the start of a game.

Except it's not Santa Claus himself. No. Instead, Santa Claus was replaced by a zombie wearing a Christmas wreath. Oh, and the sleigh doesn't have Rudolph, but instead a pack of Vermin.

It's a super fun twist on the typical Santa and Rudolph gliding through the air, but as it turns out, that's not the only major twist featured in Holiday Nuketown.

Who is ready for a snowball fight

As one Call of Duty YouTuber discovered, the snowballs featured in Holiday Nuketown aren't just for show. They can actually be equipped in your arsenal, and what's more, they can also deal damage to opponents.

According to the video, simply press “X” when you're near a pile of snowballs and four will automatically join your inventory. From there, you can start throwing them at enemies, where damage will be dealt and eliminations can even be scored. It appears to be a one-hit kill, similar to a throwing knife. With December just starting, it remains to be seen what more fun things CODMas will bring, but, for now, these twists and turns are definitely worth attending.
