The anime format perfectly captures the dark gray environment of the abandoned location where the battle takes place. A long and tense confrontation

Shibuya Arch marked a boom in popularity for Jujutsu Kaisenand one of the reasons it was so intense was that it removed Satoru Gojo from the equation, leaving the other sorcerers vulnerable. This is the result of a prolonged battle between Gojo and all of the disastrous curses aimed to keep him in one spot long enough for Kenjaku to trap him.

He fights against Mahoraga, a powerful familiar summoned by Fushiguro Megumi. The anime does well to reflect the dramatic tone of the fight, showing countless examples of transfiguration by the cursed spirit, ultimately leading it to take on a new and more dangerous form. The battle of skills between Todo, Yuji, and Mahito highlights the entire arc as it shows a hard-won triumph for the protagonist.
