Surviving in Green Hell It's not easy. The jungle is not a friendly place. From jaguars that will tear players to pieces in seconds to a hostile tribe that will attack on sight, this game is not for the faint of heart. As players try to survive, they will need a few things like water, food, tools, weapons, and a place to call home.

Building a shelter in Green Hell is important. There are many places where the player can build a base; however, some locations are better than others. The perfect location must have a good balance of providing players with natural resources, plenty of space to build, and very little enemy interference. There are many places to settle, but the ones presented below are among the best basic positions in the game.

7 The training field

A quiet area with lots of flat land

• Position: 28 West, 33 South

This is the camp present in the story mode. While the camp itself will not be present if the player is in survival mode, the flat land and clean drinking water source will still be present. The river that flows along this place is a source of fresh waterand it is safe to drink. The area is quite large, with plenty of flat land to build on.

This basic location is perfect for the game's starting house. It can also be expanded into a more elaborate home, complete with all the comforts the jungle has to offer. Since this is the starting area for the story mode, there aren't many enemies that tend to roam this location, meaning the player can spend their days in relative peace.

6 A clearing on the hill

A good observation point

At first glance, this area doesn't seem all that interesting. However, if the player heads to the top of the large hill, next to a path, there is a nice open area that is great for building a small base. While there isn't a lot of space in this location, the fact that it gives the player a decent amount of visibility of the surrounding area makes it a great place to call home.

With clever placement, you can build a pretty elaborate base in this area. There are usually a few animals roaming this location, which makes hunting for food a little easier.

5 Hilly plains

Close to the water and out of the way

Towards the western side of the map is a nice open clearing on top of a hill. This area offers the player a great panoramic view of the land below. Not only that, but slightly northeast of this area is a large body of water. This is great for both hydration and food. This water source is often visited by jungle creatures, so it is a great place to hunt for food. Additionally, There are coconut trees here, which are great for collecting water.

As for the build area, similar to the previous entry, it is not particularly large. However, the area is flat, making it a fairly easy place to build. While it is not the largest location available, it is large enough to hold all the essential items a player will need to survive life in the jungle.

4 An abandoned fishing station

A pre-built structure on the water's edge

North of the previous entry is an abandoned fishing station. This is a pre-built structure that has some nice things lying around for the player to use. There are a couple of beds, including a hammock, there is a place to build a campfire, and there is even a working water filter for players to use.

This location is perfect for those who prefer to move into a prefab structure rather than create their own base from scratch. Since the fishing station is right on the edge of a river, players will have no problem stocking up on water and food. The existing shack provides the player with some cover from any attackers coming from the south. Additionally, since it is right next to a river, it provides the player with a quick escape route in case they need to leave in a hurry.

3 A small abandoned village

A great secondary base position

• Location: 52 West, 17 South

This small abandoned village is very close to the abandoned fishing station. Although it doesn't have much to offer, the place is perfect as a backup base. It is located halfway up a hill, which gives players a good view of any attacks coming from below. The small village also has a campfire and a bamboo smoker that the player can use.

There is a lot of bamboo in this area, which is great for crafting. Also, since it is just a stone's throw from the abandoned fishing station, the player will not have to worry about water, as they will have an infinite source nearby.

2 A well defended area

The nearby cliffs offer some protection

This location is hidden at the base of some cliffs. The entire area is covered on three sides by these cliffs, meaning players only have to worry about enemies coming from one direction. There is a small water source right in the center of this location, and while there are no food sources on site, there are plenty of animals roaming the nearby areas.

This area is both beautiful and easy to build. Since there are large cliffs surrounding the area, players will not have to build much to turn this place into a livable place.

1 A cave overlooking the water

An almost perfect place to call home

This area looks like paradise. Unfortunately, while it looks amazing, it has one drawback: poisonous enemies. The cave is a spawn point for scorpions and spiders. These disgusting creatures can be deadly, and keeping the pests under control can be a bit tedious. However, if the player is willing to put up with the annoying pests, then this location is truly breathtaking.

There is a cliff directly above the cave, which not only provides the player with some protection, but can also be built upon to expand the base. As for water, there is a small body directly in front of the cave that can be boiled and consumed. The terrain around the cave is also fairly clear of obstacles, allowing the player to extend their construction deeper into the jungle.
