After a relatively muted launch for Season 23 compared to some previous seasons, the last few weeks have been big for the game. Why Apex Legends shouldn't roll back support changes

Apex Legends Season 23 has resulted in a meta heavily in favor of Support-class legends, one that Respawn shouldn't be quick to restore.

According to Respawn, a new update was applied to the Battle Royale on January 16th. Among the changes, several lobby-related issues have been addressed, including voice and text chat not working as expected and visual issues related to PC lobbies. The update also fixed a gameplay issue where Lifeline's tactical drone would reveal Mirage when cloaked. This was potentially a big deal since Mirage's cloaking ability was buffed in the mid-season update and Lifeline is currently one of the most picked Legends in the game. This meant that the potentially game-breaking situation could arise quite frequently before the fix.

In addition to these changes, the new update has fixed issues with some cosmetics Legends of the Apex. According to the patch notes, reactive skins should now work as expected, as previously there was a bug that caused VFX to not display properly after switching guns. The developer also revealed that the Attrition G7 Scout skin has been temporarily removed from the game. Unfortunately, a return date has not been noted as a bug is being fixed.

While these smaller updates are good news for players experiencing issues, the community can't wait to see what Respawn has in store. While fans still have about a month before the release of season 24 of Legends of the ApexRespawn recently revealed some of its more immediate plans. On January 21st, Legends of the Apex is going through with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in the form of the Lunar Rebirth collection event. It will bring the return of themed cosmetics from the Square Enix game and a Prestige skin for Alter. Additionally, Materia Hop-Ups are returning in Rift Relics and the R2R5 Buster Sword is making its return.

Hopefully, these future changes will improve the experience for players who have become dissatisfied with the current state of the game Legends of the Apex. With the game's player numbers declining on platforms like Steam in recent months, the developer is looking for ways to lure players back.
