Angelo Bruschini dead: Massive Attack guitarist dies after lung cancer battle

Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini has died after a battle with lung cancer, the band confirmed.

The musician played on hits including Angel after joining the group in the 90s.

Massive Attack wrote: “RIP Angelo. A singularly brilliant & eccentric talent.

“Impossible to quantify your contribution to the Massive Attack canon. How lucky we were to share such a life together.”

Angelo also played for a number of other bands, including The Numbers and Rimshots.

The Blue Aeroplanes, where Angelo was also a member, paid tribute to their “brother”.

They said: “We are devastated to announce the passing of our brother Angelo Bruschini.
