Despite being a free game built into the Fortnite client, there is a lot to discover, fight, and do in Lego Fortnite. A vital part of the game is building villages, upgrading them, and recruiting the NPCs that visit your villages in order to capitalize on passive resource gathering and processing.

Lego Fortnite Vs. Minecraft: Which Game Is Better?

Lego Fortnite and Minecraft are both sandbox survival games, but which is better?

If you’re curious about each and every possible villager you can recruit, you’ve landed at the right place, which is much more preferable than thanking the bus driver and landing at Twisted Towers just to lose the match mere minutes after it started. Why not build with Legos instead?

29 Brite Bomber

A dialogue with Brite Bomber, who has pink hair, tinted sunglasses, and a mostly blue outfit.

Brite Bomber is an energetic Lego character with bright pink hair and tinted sunglasses. While world seeds determine the first NPC you encounter, she is usually the first one you meet, giving helpful information and tutorials about things you can collect and do in the game.

Aside from being a somewhat cryptic encyclopedia with some quirky quotes, you can nonetheless put her to work or ask her to join you in your travels if you’re more into praxis, which is a fancy word for engaging in and enacting theory.

28 Hayseed

A dialogue with Hayseed, a farmer with a yellow, pointy straw hat on his head.

If you took one look at Hayseed’s pointy straw hat, blue jean overalls, and red flannel shirt, and assumed he was a farmer, then you’d be right. If you want your village to be particularly immersive, it’d be fitting to ask Hayseed to cultivate your crops.

It seems that Hayseed is more proficient at gathering seeds, allowing you to get greater amounts than other villagers, but it’s hard to say exactly how much more of a yield you’re getting in comparison. Perhaps some diligent, altruistic, stats-oriented people can help with that.

27 Silas

A dialogue with Silas, a blonde haired fella wearing a green flannel and a camping backpack.

Not to be confused with Sylas from League of Legends, Silas is a pretty chill NPC that wears a green flannel shirt, tan pants, and a camping backpack with a rolled up sleeping bag on top. Indeed, the only thing Silas might be unshackling is a bag of marshmallows around a campfire.

Although everyone’s version of camping and enjoying the great outdoors looks a little different, perhaps Silas is adept at collecting wood, granite, and other basic resources that are useful for all your survival needs.

26 Dana

A dialogue with Dana, a red haired woman wearing a grey jumpsuit and an orange vest.

Dana is an orange-haired villager wearing plain, mostly gray clothes, and what appears to be a stitched, orange vest or corset of some kind as her outermost layer of clothing. If it is a corset, maybe she’s a big fan of local renaissance faires?

After a few speedy chats, Dana seems inclined to give you either advice or small talk, ranging from talking about dangerous enemies like Blasters, to more mundane, silly suggestions, such as running in little circles if you happen to get bored.

25 Sprocket

A dialogue with Sprocket, a mechanic with a brown ponytail, red shirt, and a blue baseball cap.

Sprocket is a mechanic with a brown ponytail that wears a blue cap, some kind of partial jumpsuit, and a bright red shirt. Despite her professional appearance, she does have the humility to admit she still doesn’t fully understand what torque is.

It’s understandable if this would lead you to finding a second opinion before having Sprocket work on your car, but it couldn’t be that bad, right? With future game updates, hopefully Sprocket and other mechanic NPCs will be able to interact with moving parts in some way.

24 Rex

A dialogue with Rex, a man wearing a greenish-yellow dinosaur helmet with orange spikes and white teeth.

Rex is an interesting fella wearing a greenish-yellow dinosaur head with sharp white teeth and orange spikes on top. It’s not obvious what he’d be good at in terms of jobs, but he sure does like to let you know he’s well on his way to becoming an alpha predator.

8 Resources To Collect First In Lego Fortnite

With so many resources to obtain in Lego Fortnite, which ones are the best to go for when just starting out?

If you happen to catch him daydreaming about chickens, he’ll give you a cardinal direction to the nearest Grassland biome. Otherwise, you can set him to whatever job you’re in need of, or listen to him talk about movies.

23 Robin

A dialogue with Robin, a woman wielding a sword and wearing a bright green baseball cap.

Robin is a fashionable but practical NPC with a black ponytail wearing a teal cap, a bright pink purse, a black shirt with pockets, tan cargo pants, a wristwatch, and a nice pair of boots. This outfit would probably be best for shopping with friends, and taking a hike immediately afterward.

If you chat with Robin, she’ll probably give you typical wisdom, such as treating others in a way that you’d like to be treated, or talking about those mysterious, glowing butterflies that you see in the distance on occasion.

22 Raptor

A dialogue with Raptor, a person wearing a yellow balaclava, tinted orange glasses, and a tactical headset.

Raptor is an NPC wearing a tactical headset with a microphone, an orange shirt, and a bright yellow face mask. Spamming his voice lines eventually reveals that he has a background in aviation, and a love for exploration and high altitude views.

It’s not obvious which kind of jobs Raptor would be suited for, but on occasion he does offer helpful tips about which enemies to be careful of, or where specific villagers and the biomes they prefer, can be found. It’d be rad though if he could pilot vehicles for you.

21 Otis

A dialogue with Otis, a farmer wearing jean overalls, a lime green flannel, and a sun hat.

Otis is a man with a gray beard wearing blue jean overalls, a bright green flannel shirt, rounded glasses, and a beige sun hat of some sort. While he certainly has the appearance of a farmer, his dialogue reveals he’s more interested in various ingredients and their unique flavors.

Fortnite: All POIs in Chapter 5, Ranked

Fortnite: Chapter 5 has a lot of great POIs, but which are the best places to land?

Ultimately, Otis is best suited for a cooking job. While he won’t be as good as other, higher-tier villagers, he’s a great early game NPC that can save you some time that’d otherwise be spent gathering random raw foods, like Pumpkins or Raspberries.

20 Skye

A dialogue with Skye, a woman wearing a blue jacket, a red bucket hat with white wings, and light brown boots.

Given her red hat adorned with white wings and her long hair, Skye seems like a modern-day Viking. Although, it is a bit strange she has completely red hands; hopefully that’s ketchup from a burger she ate, and not something more sinister.

If, in fact, she does come from a long line of Viking warriors, she’d be a perfect companion to accompany you on a little raiding session on those groups of little Lego people that become immediately hostile to you when you get too close.

19 Tabby

A dialogue with Tabby, a feminine cat person with orange hair and rounded ears poking through their hair.

Tabby is an orange-haired, and evidently orange-furred cat person with black stripes and somewhat pointy ears that poke out from her hair. She tends to talk about random topics, but will eventually reveal she is some kind of treasure hunter.

What kind of treasure she likes to go after, though, isn’t inherently obvious. It’d probably be best to ask her to look around nearby for resources and see what she finds, or to have her try and find some raw gems that you could refine.

18 Sunflower

A dialogue with Sunflower, a female farmer wearing a tan sun hat, blue jean overalls, and rugged boots.

Sunflower is a cheerful NPC with a charming demeanor and cute, flowery clothing. After getting to know her a bit better, you come to find out that she is a ranch hand, or if you prefer this alternative title, a cowgirl.

Make sure you’re using these weapon attachments in Fornite: Chapter 5!

Since ranch hands typically deal with cattle and other animals, Sunflower will presumably bring back animal products if you set her loose. Hopefully, when she’s done gathering resources, she’ll come back with an armful of Milk, Feathers, Eggs, and other goodies you can get from animals.

17 Peely

A dialogue with Peely, a lego character with big black eyes dressed in a bright yellow banana costume.

It is possible to find a blue, frozen version of Peely.

Despite Peely’s difficulties with verbal communication, and the blatant tomfoolery of seeing him go about his daily activities while wearing a bright yellow banana costume, if you “talk” with him long enough, Peely reveals that he’s willing to do any job you feel like giving him.

What this implies is that Peely is truly a jack of all trades, which means that this is one less villager you have to methodically plan out a job for. If that previous sentence didn’t resonate with you, perhaps you’ll change your mind once you’ve established multiple villages.

16 Beef Boss

A dialogue with Beef Boss, a mostly purple and pink lego character with a hamburger for a head.

Beef Boss is an incredibly vibrant NPC with one immediately noticeable feature: they have a cheeseburger for a head. This feature, though, is not just for the sake of novel cosmetics; Beef Boss is a great chef, and is quite happy to prepare nourishing cooked foods and refreshing drinks for you.

This is a great incentive to upgrade your village and recruit Beef Boss as fast as possible, since gathering and cooking your own food can get tiresome after a while, which detracts from more fun activities, like exploring caves or upgrading your gear.

15 Meowscles

A dialogue with Meowscles, a buff, masculine cat person withe white, grey, and orange fur wearing black pants.

Hopefully you don’t mind being “flexed” on, since Meowscles is an absolutely ripped cat person that doesn’t mind showing off his muscles. Although, Meowscles might grow on you once you see him beat the calcium out of a skeleton with his bare paws.

Nothing tops these iconic Fortnite Battle Pass skins.

In all seriousness, Meowscles is a great companion to bring along during your travels, especially if you give him a decent sword. If you’re on a particularly long expedition, you might want to bring a few extra swords for when Meowscle’s sword eventually breaks.

14 Petra

A dialogue with Petra, a woman dressed in brown and tan field clothing you'd expect to see from an archaeologist.

If you’ve played the Outer Wilds before, you might develop an appreciation for Petra. Although she doesn’t have four eyes or a dangerous spaceship to pilot, she does look like someone who would work at a museum, dig up bones for archaeological purposes, or have a fixation for solving mysteries.

Speaking of archaeology, it would be pretty funny to see her go out and collect a bunch of resources for you, only to come back with a bunch of bones. Although her field is all about human bones, there’s just something about her clothes that screams Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones.

13 Roan

A dialogue with Roan, a woman with long black hair wearing a beanie, grey flannel shirt, and black pants.

Roan is a relaxed NPC with long, black hair wearing a red beanie, a dull green flannel shirt, and dark blue pants. If you do a little talking with her, she’ll reveal she’s good at both foraging and gathering fertilizer for your crops.

Paired with a villager gathering seeds, you could create a powerful combo for growing and sustaining your own plant-based food sources. Alternatively, you could slay some wolves for their meat, but that’s a bit of a hassle, and probably not as efficient, in comparison.

12 Sparkplug

A dialogue with Sparkplug, a lego character wearing a mechanic's jumpsuit and a backwards red baseball cap.

Given their name, as well as the backwards red baseball cap and the utility of a mechanic’s jumpsuit with multiple pockets, it seems that Sparkplug has a background in vehicle repairs. Sadly, any “vehicle” created in this game has to be built by you.

Fortnite: 14 Rarest Skins In The Game

There must be hundreds of skins in Fortnite by now, but you probably don’t see these rare skins very often.

In a bizarre twist, Sparkplug has mentioned that they have dreams of living in a cold climate where they’d cook Spicy Burgers for customers at a cozy lodge. Perhaps this means Sparkplug could possibly be fit for some kind of food-related job?

11 Aura

A dialogue with Aura, a woman with orange hair wearing black pants, a white shirt, and a backwards white baseball cap.

Aura is an NPC with an urban, inner-city aesthetic, rocking some tattoos on her arm, a gold chain, a backwards yellow baseball cap, and stylish street wear. It makes you wonder if she could teach you a thing or two about pop culture, art, or great places to eat.

Although, with a name like Aura, maybe she’s more into Tarot card readings and relaxing meditation or yoga sessions. Perhaps it’s best to stop romanticizing the idea of her or her possible interests, and actually just get to know her.

10 Blue Squire

A dialogue with Blue Squire, a man wearing full medieval plate armor and a metal helmet.

Blue Squire is an NPC wearing a full set of medieval style armor, who frequently references the fun of exploration and adventure, the inherent mystery of the unknown, and how he’s visited every biome in the game.

If it wasn’t obvious, this is another NPC that appears to be appropriate for helping you on your travels. With so many villagers that are keen on exploration, perhaps they gain some kind of buff to the weapons you give them, maybe in terms of base damage or durability?
