Marvel Rivals is the latest in a long line of live service games, but while many of these have struggled, NetEase Games has created something special.
All the main members of the Avengers who have yet to come to Marvel Rivals
Ant-Man and the Wasp
When the Avengers debuted in 1963, they featured five founding members. Iron Man, Hulk and Thor are all already present Rivals of wondermeaning the only two founding members left off the launch day roster are Ant-Man and Wasp. Two heroes who can use Pym Particles to shrink and grow, Ant-Man and Wasp would be a great addition Rivals of wonder' training.
To keep their moves distinct from each other, Rivals of wonder could add Hank Pym's enlarged form, Giant-Man/Goliath, as a Vanguard, and add Wasp as a Duelist or Specialist.
Captain Marvel
Although Carol Danvers was not a founding member of the Avengers, she has appeared on the team's main roster many times over the years. After joining and leaving the Avengers in the 1980s, Danvers returned in the 1990s with the superhero moniker Warbird.
As Ms. Marvel, Danvers led the Mighty Avengers and was one of the core members of the New Avengers, a team formed when Norman Osborn began commanding the original Avengers. In the early 2010s, Carol Danvers once again joined the main Avengers team, this time as Captain Marvel.
Captain Marvel would be another great choice for a Rivals of wonder Vanguard, with her superhuman strength, energy absorption ability, and ability to fly making her a powerful tank-like hero.
The Wonder Man
One of the few classic members of the Avengers who hasn't yet made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (a Disney+ show is on the way), Wonder Man debuted in 1964 The Avengers #4where he fought the founding members of the team as a supervillain. For the next ten years or so, Wonder Man remained in a comatose state, being frequently revived by villains such as Kang and the Living Laser to be used as a weapon.
Wonder Man was eventually freed from this cycle and chose to join the Avengers in 1977 The Avengers #160. Much like Carol Danvers, Wonder Man (Simon Williams) has joined a variety of Avengers teams over the years, including the Mighty Avengers, the Uncanny Avengers, and the West Coast Avengers.
Wonder Man's massive physique, near-invulnerability, ionic energy manipulation, superhuman strength and agility, and teleportation powers would make him an ideal choice for a new Rivals of wonder Vanguard.
Mercury
Making his debut alongside his twin sister Scarlet Witch in 1964 as an X-Men villain, Quicksilver quickly turned heel and became a core member of the original Avengers lineup, joining the team in 1965. The Avengers #16. While his sister is already inside Rivals of wonderPietro Maximoff didn't make it. Quicksilver would still make a great Duelist hero, offering speedster gameplay that isn't really available in the hero shooter yet.
Vision
Debut in 1968 The Avengers #57Vision quickly became a core member of the superhero team and has remained a vital member ever since. Vision would be an excellent specialist in Rivals of wonderbeing able to walk through walls, create decoys, regenerate, and fly.
