Cyberware has always been an important element of Cyberpunk 2077, but the Phantom Liberty DLC enhanced these items to true edgerunner status. The iconic cyberware available can define your build, offering powerful stat bonuses and unique effects that allow V to perform impossible feats.
With how important iconic cyberware has become, it’s just as important to figure out how to get these pieces, how much they cost (both in terms of eddies and your cyberware capacity), and what each item will do. You can’t install them all, but this guide will help you decide which of Phantom Liberty’s iconic cyberware is right for you.
Where To Get All Iconic Cyberware In Phantom Liberty
Just like regular cyberware, most of the iconic cyberware is obtainable from ripperdocs. Specifically, the ripperdocs found in Phantom Liberty’s Dogtown. These ripperdocs are:
- Eron Acedo at the EBM Petrochem Stadium
- Costin Lahovary at the Longshore Stacks
- Fardia Nazeri just below the Golden Pacific fast travel station
- Anthony Anderson near the Luxor High Wellness Spa fast travel station
Anthony Anderson is only available if you save him during the “Dogtown Saints” gig. Fardia Nazeri only becomes available after the “Birds with Broken Wings” main job.
Most iconic cyberware has extremely high cyberware capacity requirements. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to install more than two or three of these pieces without making extreme sacrifices or having unfilled slots.
Most iconic cyberware is also prohibitively expensive. However, many are available for free looting Dogtown’s Airdrops. These drops are random, so make sure to investigate each one you come across for a chance to make mad eddies in the form of free iconic cyberware.
Some iconic cyberware is awarded after completing certain gigs or jobs. Iconic cyberware available for free is noted in the tables below.

All cyberware stats provided are for their teir five versions. Some are available starting at lower tiers but with lower stats.

The Cockatrice Optics are easily the single largest crit-chance boost in the game, but installing them means forgoing the utility of the Oracle Optics. Tech weapon users might also prefer the Stalker Optics for being able to see further through walls.

Sandevistan users will have a difficult time choosing between the Axolotl and the Quantum Tuner. It’s easier to obtain the Axolotl, but 55 Cyberware Capacity is a lot even by iconic standards. It’s recommended to start with the Axolotl (if you can) and then upgrade to the Quantum Tuner later.

Immovable Force will enhance any weapon with recoil, turning an assault rifle or SMG into a virtual laser, but it’s especially useful for builds featuring high-recoil weapons like LMGs and shotguns.

Chitin is the single largest armor increase available in Cyberpunk, and when combined with the percentage buff available from either the Para Bellum or Rara Avis skeleton cyberware, can provide an absurd amount of armor.

It’s debatable whether Leeroy Ligament System is better than Jenkins’ Tendons. While Leeroy provides higher average speeds whether you’re running, walking, or crouching, Jenkin’s Tendons provides higher overall sprint speed as well as a Body Attuned health boost.

Deep-Field Visual Interface might seem like a great way to increase your crit chance, but the distances required really only make it useful for long-distance snipers. If you’re in peoples’ faces with a shotgun, don’t waste your eddies.

Despite being iconic, the Netwatch Netdriver isn’t necessarily the best cyberdeck available. Other cyberdecks offer different buffs that don’t require quickhacking through devices.
