Tom Bowen December 18, 2024 Updates: Pokemon Pocket TCG fans have a lot to look forward to this holiday season. Chief among these are a series of bonuses and special login challenges, which will see players rewarded with 60 hourglass packs, eight Mythical Island booster packs and a very special full-art Pikachu promotional card over the course of a two-hour period. weeks. Players can also expect to see a pair of emblem events for Mythical Island, a few more mass outbreaks, and a new choose wonder event through which they can promo cards based on two fan-favorite Generation 1 starters. The schedule is really quite busy between now and the end of January, at which point even more new Pokemon TCG Pocket cards will be available through the B1 expansion.

Just like the Holiday Countdown campaign that ran between December 17th and 20th, players can expect a week of daily login bonuses between Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. However, instead of simply earning hourglass packs every day like what happened last time, a number of different rewards will be offered. Between December 25th and 31st, players will receive either the 12 Hourglass Pack or a Mythical Island expansion pack simply by logging in, with three of the former and four of the latter on offer over the course of the seven days. Logging in any time between January 1st and January 8th will reward players with a special Pikachu promotional card (PA 026), with 24 Hourglasses Packs and four additional Mythical Island booster packs available during this time period.

Trading will be added to Pokemon TCG Pocket in January 2025

The November 13 Community Letter confirmed that commerce will be added Pokémon TCG Pocket in January 2025. For starters, only some cards will be tradeable, although the developers have indicated that these restrictions will be removed as time goes on. It's thought that some card rarities will be untradeable at first, but by making it so players can only trade cards of matching rarities, the developers will presumably be able to get around the problem of players creating alternate accounts and then trading any cards rare that they come close to the electricity grid.
