Rumors about a Bloodborne remaster or remake fall into the same category as rumors about Half-Life 3. While the latter does indeed seem to have some movement after all these years, Bloodborne fans haven't even heard a moan from their beloved game. And now, almost as if insult to injury, rumors have started to circulate about another FromSoftware game getting a remaster.

Dark Souls is much easier after Elden Ring
Elden Ring's fast-paced combat makes Dark Souls feel like you're playing in slow motion.
According to XboxEra's Speshal_Nick, it appears that a remaster of Dark Souls 3 may be in the works. There is no other evidence to support this claim, but Nick mentioned on the podcast that he learned of this development through one of his sources. He said he received a “DM [out of] nowhere the other day” relaying this information.
Dark Souls 3 could be getting a remaster
Nick went on to say that he has a little more information about the alleged remaster, but he's not allowed to air it to the public yet. While a Dark Souls 3 remaster isn't as highly anticipated as the Bloodborne one, that doesn't mean anyone is looking forward to it. There are plenty of fans of the original series who would like to see the game light up.
Even though the game has been boosted to 60fps, a graphical overhaul would be welcome, especially after seeing what could be achieved with the Demon's Souls remake. On Reddit, reactions to this rumor seem rather mixed, with many arguing that the game isn't dated enough to warrant a remaster.
“I don't think DS3 is old enough to need a remaster, but I'd happily accept it if it were to happen,” said one comment. “I hope not, 3 is not obsolete in any way and can still be played on modern consoles. It's not closed off like Bloodbourne and doesn't need improvements like Dark Souls 2,” said another.
As you would expect, Bloodborne fans were quick to make their disappointment known. “Remaster of Dark Souls 3 before Bloodborne? We're living in a Dark Souls loop,” admitted the top-voted comment, followed by many others. “You can tell this might actually be true because it doesn't say it's blood borne,” another comment joked.
There's no other information on this rumor other than what we've heard from Nick, so don't get your hopes up just yet. Let's learn from the Bloodborne brigade and keep our expectations low, for now.
Completing FromSoftware's popular trilogy, Dark Souls 3 sees you build your own gameplay style and take on enemies in brutal combat. You'll traverse the Kingdom of Lothric, connecting fire by defeating large bosses and reaching one of four possible endings.
