September has been a pretty good month so far for Xbox Game Passsignificantly offsetting some of the slower summer months. Age of Mythology: Told AND Star Trucker started the month well, Frost Punk 2 just delivered another high quality strategic experience and Ara: Untold Story is just days away for PC Game Pass subscribers. It’s unclear, however, whether Xbox Game Pass will be able to maintain this momentum into October.
Xbox Game Pass has only confirmed one game for its October 2024 lineup. While that game is the absolute behemoth Call of Duty: Black Ops 6Even the biggest games can't support a full month of Xbox Game Pass on their own. Game Pass needs a few more titles this October, especially when PlayStation has a bunch of console exclusives waiting in the wings next month.

The next long-awaited game from GreyNomada Studio, Snow It's due out on October 15th and could prove to be a great launch title for Xbox Game Pass. Snow takes Grey' a breathtaking watercolor art style and paints it on another emotional tale, this time centered on a woman and her deep, enduring bond with a magical wolf. Snow looks to be one of the most exciting indie releases of October, and could find an even bigger audience on day one with Game Pass.
A Quiet Place: The Way Forward

With October only a few weeks left, that means the Spooky Season is only a few weeks away from officially starting, and Xbox Game Pass could include some horror titles in its offerings. A Quiet Place: The Way Forward is scheduled for release on October 17, offering a first-person horror experience based on the Hollywood film franchise. In The road aheadPlayers must slowly make their way through various environments, taking care not to make any noise, as the moment they do so they will be attacked by the Angels of Death.

One of the biggest releases of October 2024 is Bloober Team Silent Hill 2 Remake. Unfortunately, Silent Hill 2 Remake will only be coming to PC and PlayStation 5 at launch, which means Xbox gamers are missing out on what could be the best horror game this Halloween. To help cushion the blow, Xbox Game Pass could add the Silent Hill: HD Collection this October, which would give Xbox users the chance to play silent hill 2 AND 3. Of course, the Silent Hill: HD Collection It's far from the best way to play these games due to its divisive voice acting and graphics, but it's the only option for silent Hill fans on Xbox.
