RIYADH: A water supply and sanitation project in Yemen, led by Saudi aid agency KSrelief, has continued to improve conditions for people living there.

From 19 to 25 June, approximately 1,033,550 litres of potable water and 10,849,000 litres of non-potable water were provided in Hajjah. The project team worked in Midi, Haradh, Hayran and Abs districts, as well as As-Ashour camp in the Razih area of ​​Saada.

38 trips were made to remove waste from refugee camps, while 70,000 units of potable and non-potable water were pumped in Saada, benefiting 30,100 people.

KSrelief has also started a voluntary medical project for ear, nose and throat surgeries and tumor removal in Mukalla, Hadhramaut province.

The initiative, which began on July 20 for a week, involves 22 volunteers from various medical specialties. To date, the medical team has successfully performed 60 specialized surgeries.

Meanwhile, in Sudan, KSrelief has completed its urological surgery project in Port Sudan. The week-long program involved 11 volunteers with 119 successful specialized surgeries.
